    Default Oh no! Timing trouble

I think I made a huge mistake. I'm installing the new cylinder head and changing the timing belt.

I aligned the engine to TDC and as I was loosening bolts to remove the vibration damper the marks became unaligned. On the last bolt I accidentally hit the vibration damper with the wrench and the thing slid off. I put it back on immediately but its possible it shifted.

This may be a disaster. Is there any other trick to double check?

Looking at the Bentley manual I see a section about another notch on the crankshaft hub to align with the front engine cover. I think thats all I have to do, then just install the vibration damper onto TDC and it should be fine.

If I'm wrong please let me know.

Never mind.. That was silly.. turns out that you can't install the vibration damper incorrectly even if you tried.

    Everything is ok
