Does the chart provided in the manual for oil types still apply to synthetics?
I would use the 5W-30 from BMW but it leaks a bit...the same applies for Mobile 1 0W-40...so I stick with Mobile 1 10W-40 High Mileage and it works well.

that's fine. A heavier oil won;t hurt anything unless it is so thick it doesn;t flow enough to lubricate or won;t pump up the lifters.
