Heater valve stuck... it happens. The solution is to loosen the heater valve selenoid unit a bit and use a hammer and give it a couple whacks to loosen it up... Easy job to do.
I went for a drive last night with the Mrs. and her side of the car was blowing cold air. Mine was super hot. What causes this?
Now that I am driving the car more often, I'm sure I'll have many more posts in regards to the little things I find wrong with it.

Where is the heater valve located? Sorry for the rookie q's. If this was an MG I know each and every nut and bolt. This car will take some time to study and memorize.

Driver side right in front of the firewall... has black plastic cover on top that you can take off...
Using a hammer is only a temporary solution and also a way to see if thats the problem. Best thing to do, if indeed the valve is bad, is to replace it.
My valve was stuck one time long ago... and still works... must be at least 5 years now... so give it a shot.

It's all in German but the pictures really tell the whole Story. I can't see Kib's pic but assume it is of the location of the valves.
How tough is it to bleed the system of air on the 535I? I've seem many posts in regards to bleeding the system and hear it's a Pain in the ass.

Don't worry about bleeding as heater valve is higher than engine.
