Default New Bimmer in the crib

    Just bought a 1991 735i.

PO says the EML light comes on and the car starts puking. Where is the web page for the repair? I haven't seen this yet but I did notice that the vacuum line for the fuel tank pressure regulator was dry rotted so I replaced it. Don't know if this has anything to do with it.

I have a few repairs but all in all pretty nice bimmer
    1. Door lock knob missing
    2. Valve adjustment
    3. Replace bumpers front and rear
    4. Headliner replacement
    5. Rear brake pads
    6. Front rotors
    7. Autobox sensor replacement
    8. Front strut stabilizers

    E32 is good lovin'.
Kind of like a chubby E34 that appreciates the attention.

Noticed it has a few nice features my 535i does not have. Heated seats, programmable seats, lots of cubby holes,. All in all it is in better shape than my 5, oh yeah and a $1300 stereo

Default You need to do the stomp test to find out why the

EML light is coming on....do that first then if needed you can clean up the DK motor, if that doesn't work you may have to buy one, big bucks though...
The procedure for the 750i is here but yours is similar since you have the drive by wire throttle on the e32 with eml

Default That's a handsome looking beast!

Your list of repairs is typical, though. Shouldn't be too bad.

Bumpers have tape over them. Feeling through the tape there is a void. I know I will have to rebuild or replace them.

Very good. Hope I can wait until it warms up here in Ohio. I have a heated garage I might get bored and tackel it before the spring. I will do the stomp test and see what is what.

Yeah it looks dooable. The EML cleaning looks like fun.
