Thread: M6x cam specs?

    Default M6x cam specs?

    Greetings,

anyone know the cam specs for the M60 (either) or M62B44 (non-VANOS)?

Anyone ever heard of M60B30 or B40 cams in an M62B44? Seems the former are hotter, and with so many bits interchangeable between the two, it might just fit and maybe push the 4.4L to over 300bhp.

At least, could anyone suggest a way to measure them?

Don't know the spec but a dial indicator, degree wheel and some math ought to give a profile.

on an existing cam but when speculating on a different cam specs might be a bit harder. A long time ago I read about m20 cam specs but not much else in general. The 3.0 and 4.0 cams and valves are the same by part number (years ago I checked). Has to be some hard core European engine people with this information.
