    Default Remove pins from factory relay holder?

    Jeez - trying to remove the pins from the factory relay holder so I can add a wire for something and its being such a bitch - whats the trick?

    Tabs on each wire connector that snap in. They can be released from the back with a very thin blade screwdriver. Once one is out you'll see.

    Thats what I thought too Ross but I couldn't get it

    Do you have a chance to do one and snap a pic?

    Not to hyjack. However, is there a source for tools to work with all BMW electrical connectors. Parts/connectors as well?

    Here you go.
    I disected one for you. The plastic holder has a prong on each side which needs to be depressed, one is visible in the photo, the other got destroyed during surgery. These are depressed from the rear. Also note on the metal connector barely visible in the photo are prongs on the wide "faces of the connector, these you can depress from the socket side. That makes four little prongs that need to be pressed. The actual connector is also two pieces.
    BM undoubtedly has a tool for this which I don't own.
    They are a ****ing pain in the ass, I've resorted to splices more than once.
