$88 each from pelican parts-special order is way too much for little strips!

if anybody can just point me in the right direction, id greatly appreciate it!

here are the part numbers just incase...

    Trim: Front - 51212230373 & 51212230374; Rear - 51222230398

    Default Doesn't matter

No matter where you go, they'll charge you about $80 for each strip. BMA wanted $78. And then you have to get them painted! These strips don't seem to do anything but cause rust anyway, and I've heard/read that the M-technic strips trap more moisture and abrasive dirt than the regular rubber strips. While I have some new rubber strips, I'm actually going to go without any for a while.

Sorry for not having any good news for you. It's just one of those special parts that seems absurdly expensive for no reason.

Fear of rust is why, before each winter season, I squirt oil along the seams hoping it will prevent rust. So far, I seem to be ok.

IMO, the use of either type of "strips" which trap moisture is a poor design concept, especially from a cold weather country like Germany.

Isn't it the same part as on all the '95 U.S. E34s? Fronts, using your part number, show $65 new from my local dealer with no shipping. Might be at least one crashed '95 E34 at a salvage yard near you, too.
