IMO i just buy regular unleaded since its only 2-3cents more per L. in the end e10 is cheaper because it has less energy.
E10 is becoming available over here in oz, cheaper than 91 octane, but no information on the actual octane is published. ethanol can be used as an octane booster.

what is the octane rating of E10
is it 'safe' to use on the e34. some rubber/plastic/metal components do not like ethanol -
do we just fill up, reset the computer and let the chip work it out.

yep, that crap is getting harder and harder to avoid.
I lost 2mpg (out of 26) on a trip last summer when I had to fill up at a station with e10.
cost me 40 miles distance and put me filling up at ANOTHER boonies station with e10 instead of driving a full 500 miles and hitting civilization and real gas.
It's all that has been available here(Chicago) for better than a decade now. I don't even have a basis for comparison to quantify the economy difference.
I've not seen an inordinate amount of fuel system failures but statistics might disagree.
Your computer will figure it out and your economy will suffer a bit.

price difference here, e10 - 98c -/- premium - $1.13 (per liter) - have noticed 5% change in fuel economy, still ahead.
