i would get the car you reallly really want...if you delay for any reason and miss out you will kick your self for ever....put a deposit or something on it NOW
Here is the solution.
I'll give the $4k for it. You pick it up and whoop it all you want on your way to Chicago.

Gone but not forgotten
Also keep in mind that E39 M5 performance will be available at depreciating rates for years to come. Compared to the E34 M5's they'll be a dime a dozen. If you want an E34 that is faster than an E39 M5 and pretty much depreciation proof then get a twin turbo Alpina E34...
That depends on how long it will prolong the purchase of E39 M5 and also are you willing to deal with two performance cars that require more maintenance than average Bimmer. I've been looking around for E39 M5 too as the price keep coming down. E34 M5s are nice and much more rare but after looking at several E39 M5 myself, I would like to purchase one sometime in near future. But LeMans Blue/Black or Black/Black for me...![]()

Thanks for all of the advice in this thread guys. It's very true that if I don't get exactly what I want, I will always regret the compromise. I am going to stick it out and go with the e39 - a couple of months isn't a long time, and patience is a virtue, right?
I appreciate all of the different perspectives in this thread.
