Default wire rotation on heater valve

Can one with a 89 535i check the wire rotation on their heater valve for me
The connector on mine was broken by PO and each wire is just clamped on to each terminal.

    Currently
Wire #1 is Brown with purple stripe
    Wire #2 is Brown
Wire #3 is Yellow with Green stripe

I don't think this is right because I am getting cold air when I should be getting hot air

Maybe the wires are nor original or on the E34 they have different colors.
I posted this once for E32:

connect the clamp of the test light at the pole of the jump start pole (Plus)
Then 'inject' the needle of the test light into the cable yellow/brown for the driver side and yellow/purple (violet) for the passenger side, then the light will blink according to the impulses or it will be full on at the 16 degree Celsius position, and it will be off at the maxiumum temperature adjustment of 28 degree Celsius.

Anyway, the single pin is power/plus. The other 2 are the ground cables.

If it does not work, pull all wires out and then the valves hould be fully open = no power -fully open.

Here you can make your ph. D. in IHKA systems, but all in German. The drawings will help you however and the technical data. Big file!!!
    On page 38 it says
left valve GEVI = gelb-violet = yellow prple
    right valve GEBR = gelb-braun = yellow - brown

power is GNBR = gruen-braun = green- brown

Left side valve wire goes to pin 21 on the white plug in the control unit, right side to pin 23.

Always very well documented Shogun, do you have the equivalent technical doc / description for the idle valve ?

Sorry, that I do not have. Never searched for a tech info for the idle valve, as my E32 750 does not have one, all is controlled by EML.

yellow and purple "ye" was a bad abbreviation, sorry.
The wires in your photo appear to be the same colors as mine and in the same positions although your description of the colors differs from mine.

Default You can understand the german language ..can't you

So I have gathered that you understand german. I had a German girl friend about 25 years ago. I can understand about 1 out of 25 words.
