I pulled the radiator fan cowling and the fan. Got down in there and noticed that that one of the bolts holding the position sensor bracket was loose. Tighten it up and the 535 seems to be running better. My question is how do you adjust the sensor. I see that the distance from the sensor to the notched wheel is 1mm + or - 0.3 mm. but I don't see any way of adjusting the distance. It appears there are two bolts holding the sensor mounting bracket to the engine but I could only remove one. How do you get to the other bolt? Remove the notched wheel? I also noticed that the sensor is held to the bracket using a allen wrench bolt how on earth do you get to this puppy? Is this the bolt to perform the adjustment?

Default You should be able to get to both of the

bolts on the face without removing the notched pulley. The gap should be 1mm. You have to have the notched wheel on there to set the gap.

Ah yes remove the air filter box. Of course. So the bracket slides up and down with the 10mm bolt loosened. Need to get into this area with a power spray and remove all of the old oil and dirt. PO had a loose valve cover gasket and its pretty gunky down there.

Do you have to remove the intake manifold to get to the connector on the sensor?
