Which CD changer do you have; Alpine or Pioneer? And can we assume you're talking about a US-spec car?
I did some searching but didn't find anything that helped.
I am trying to figure out which bracketry I should try to order from a dealer to install a the factory CD player I grabbed from a junkyard in the back of my 1992 525it.
It works fine, just need the brackets. Comments and pictures welcome.
Thanks,
vince

Plugged in the VIN from my old touring and got this:

Not correct for the US changer. Most used the Alpine sliding-door model, obviously mounted vertically. The part numbers are in the installation instructions. I'd go looking for them if Vince would confirm that he has an Alpine, or otherwise.
I am so sorry to not be able to reply earlier.....I've been busy chasing down 2002 parts to go to O'Fest with.
The car is a stock US model 1992 525i touring, Randy Everson't silver 5 speed conversion that ytou've seen at quite a few Oktoberfests.
The CD changer is the big one; Model # TR1003. It was taken out of a '94 740i, though I'm not sure if it was originally installed in that car as the car was pretty well trashed.

And I thank you, for this confusion is exactly why I seek the knowledge of greater experts than I.

Vince, I have a bracket for the Alpine in an E39. Perhaps worth a try. You know how to reach me.

Do you need the carpeted CD changer cover?
If so, let me know - I have a spare.
