I've been running Mark's EAT chip in my 540i for about 90 days now. Mixed city driving is 17.2 mpg; Highway is 26.7. (All with an Inspection II due)
I just did a road trip, 800 miles total, and averaged 24 mpg with the EAT chip. (OBC showed 25 mpg) I was just curious as to what others have been getting. I recently did a tune up, but she still could run a little smoother.
Thanks!!

I did a 340 mile road trip about 6 weeks ago and also averaged 24 mpg. Since then I've done a tune up and installed a 3.5 bar fuel pressure regulator. I think the mpg has gone up a wee bit more but haven't driven another long drive to confirm it.

Good thing I'm to cheap to run super unleaded. On road trips, I get a consistent 23.5 mpg with no chip, 89 octane and an auto tranny.![]()

two 2400 mile round trips to virgina ago in the 535ia my best was 27.4 (the best mpg is usually on the first/last northern tank going and comming in every car i've driven up there) and the last trip up at thanksgiving my best was only 22.7 with the tune up and tweek before going. the obc is generally one or two low all of the time, my usuall in town work week gets 18-19. eat chip and mustang 19# disc type injectors
