    Default Blower motor acting up

I'm having a bit of a problem here. 1st off. I have a 93 525i with 103k miles on it. My blower motor worked only in 3 and 4. Now it only works in the setting 4. What I want to know is that is the controls the same as here http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/showt...ghlight=blower or is the wiring diffrent? And also, wheres the link on how to take out the blower so I can clean it up and lube it? I searched and searched and still can't find it. Thanks in advance.

Doubtful it's your blower motor if it works on 4!

Pull out the resitor/sword and have a look at it

Got similar problem... all 1-2-3 are weak and 4 is sort of medium speed... My car is 1994 540i... so what should I change? I don't think I have the old sword thing.

You micro-filter would be a good start. The others are talking about no fan at all on those settings. If your air flow is week your "pollen" filter is most likely clogged.

Have a look at the switch itself... I did a thread a loooong time ago about taking it apart and cleaning it all up!
