Plan on cutting one from a junker or dummying up something with what you've got. Bm ain't going to have it.
I looked at the harness from the '94 I scrapped recently and it doesn't use that connector so concentrate on cars before at least '94.
i'm trying to find a part number for this plug that attaches to the 'final stage' sword thingy can anyone help? it's really really hot in my car right now.

"The gas pedal wouldn't go to the floor if it weren't meant to be there"
funny you should ask....
just went and had another look and i did find a very tiny number... BMW 1378140. called the dealer says he has no idea. i have the blower relay pulled it's so hot in the vents i'm afraid i'll melt something so i'm not driving at all. (my aux fan isn't working properly either) i already tried a fix i thought it was good but the plug is so busted up it only lasted about 5 minutes.
thanks for checking ross, anyone know is there an official name for the 'final stage'?

That sounds like the last 7 of the #. The numbers all have meaning, with the appropriate first six digits that denote the type of part you may be successful in getting a complete #.
Bear in mind that no dealer in their right mind would stock this part and BM likely doesn't either. If it were a year after your car was built you may have a chance. Now, NFW.

I will ask on the German E34 Forum
In any case you need a pinout tool for the part. I have made some of old antennas or these small telescope magnets for 1$, just cut them to the right size. On Bimmerboard I have shown these. Otherwise you will not get the pin connectors out, they have hooks. You have to slide these pinout tools over the pin from the front into the plug, that bends the hooks and releases the pins inside the plug.
Stay tune, ich habe schon auf dem www.e34.de gefragt nach der Teilnummer.
o.k., my contact in Germany tells me that BMW HQ told him the part numbers are:
Teilenummer des Steckergehäuses : 61.13.1.383.516
entsprechender Pin dazu : 1.376.206 (2.5mm²)
translated:
plug housing 61.13.1.383.516
the corresponding pin for the housing 1.376.206 (2.5mm²)
Tell your dealer that your contact in Japan has asked his contact in Germany and that contact in Germany had contacted his contact in BMW HQ and the contact tells us........
shogun that is beyond awesome. i hate to fess up now but i actually found one about 20 minutes ago (i just logged on to say don't bother)the scrapyards are far but it's cooler and raining - the gamble paid off... now i want to order one anyway so i can tell the dealer my contact in japan asked his contact in germany who contacted his contact... but i guess i won't if my splicing works out ok. the p/n works at pelican parts btw... $5.50 for the housing. thanks so much for the help guys - kind of blows my mind you found that page and p/n shogun - i guess you're pretty handy with a soldering iron, huh?
