Wow there's an overwhelming push for Calypso red here!! I was expecting you were all going to go for some dazzling light Ferrarifiatlotus red too! I don't know what to do now lol! A red body and silver side skirts is defo my goal though.

    Cheers all!

I remember painting a customers car "Flame Red," which is a Chevrolet Camaro color from the late 90's-early 00's I believe. I thought it was nice because it wasn't too orange like many other reds. We recently painted a customers car this funky Porsche red and it looked way too orange to me. Definitely something to watch out for.

Go out to your local dealerships and find a red car who's color you like and then get the paint code from the inside of the door-jamb or wherever it happens to be on that car.

Thanks Angry. I'll check that Flame red out, like you suggested. I saw a lovely red Subaru sporty thing parked nearby the other day. That was a gorgeous colour too, but the owner wasn't nearby or I would have ask him about it......

    Cheers,

    Calypso rules, OK.

Seriously though, it is always advisable to respray the original colour.

Mugello is the best looking of all reds on an E34. You wanted an opinion!

Wow that red is beautiful - I'll have 5 litres please! Is that a genuine BMW colour too?

    Cheers,
