    Default Tranny oil seal

Anyone replaced seal no. 4 here:

    If so,
    1. how did you undo the silly shaped nut and hold the flange?
    2. Any torque settings I should know about?
This is of course different from the one shown in Bentleys

Here is a 2,000 words description,

The flange is removed using a 3/4" drive ratchet. I do not have a 3/4" drive torque wrench. Just tightened it by feel. Looking at the pictures again, I was wrong. The 30 mm socket was on an 1/2" drive air impact. I must have also tightened it to spec because the socket is 1/2" drive. The torque setting book must have it.

    Default Handy hint

For anyone else contemplating this, have a look at the online tis first - if you remove the tail end of the gearbox there is a chance all the clutches drop out! Thats if you can actually find a pin wrench socket to undo the grooved nut inside anyway
