1999 323i Instrument Cluster analog dead

Hi There,

My 323's analog instrument readout dials (spedo, tacho, file gauge, temp etc) are dead, but the digital read out's are fine. Also the falut indicators (coolant level etc) seem to be working fine.

Any one knows why the analog read out instruments are dead? Is it a fuse issue.
My Mech wants $850.00 to replace the whole thing.
