Lately ive been diagnosing the hell out of this thing (and over-diagnosing it seems). I have been planning to do the intake gaskets and pcv plate
I leakdown tested the engine tonight (for peace of mind mostly, but in theory, to nail any problems). I heard only air with the oil cap removed. No noticable air/sounds anywhere else. I expected to find a bum pcv plate and/or a bad gasket or something. But nothing.
So...
Shelve it and be happy? do the gaskets anyways? or am i missing something?

you wont hear any sounds with a bad intake gasket or PCV, if its older than 4 years with over 150K than they are bad...period. Oh dont forget the front plate gasket like I did, need to remove the intake again to get to the 12 dollar part.
