first you need a hole and a base for the changer...

That looks very nice! I was thinking that a sub would go nicely under the passenger seat... just out of curiosity...
Why did you choose to put it in there instead of the trunk? I can't put one there either way b/c your current location is where my battery is.

i originally had it there... i need the trunk space - i bought the car b/c it fits a cello hardcase (if you slide it in right) + violins and the changer would get in the way and get bashed. it's nice to have a big empty clean trunk, and now i can reach the changer from the driver's seat. my battery is in the engine bay with the itty bitty m20

i can see what you mean about the trunk space! my speakers are in the deck lid and it pisses me off how much they get into the way. The m20 is a great engine imo. I like my m50 better though

glad to hear it... never driven another bmw, but my instincts tell me this chassis was built for bigger engines.
i'm a total engine-rookie tho, and i think it's better to make mistakes on one like this. i'm happy with it, when it's working...

    Holy creativity Batman !

Great job ! Indeed, having a changer in the trunk is not the best. I remember that someone had put it in the armrest of the backseat.
