Default boot lock actuator acting funny

Ok, Since i have had this car the locks have always "popped" or "double locked" I finally traced it to the actuator for the boot lock. some one had swapped the blue and white wires over ( cut them, striped them, twisted them together and electrical taped them up ). after reversing this everything seemed fine, but i noticed that the boot was now unsync'ed from the rest of the car. I wondered if a non-oem part was put in so i pulled it out and it was bmw, checked the part number ( 8350181 ) and all checked out. So i tried to re-sync the locks, that didn't help either.

Also as far as i can tell the wire harness on the boot hinge looks mint.

I am now at a loss, as to what is happening.
    Any ideas?

I found the problem it was to do with the actual key lock, weird.
I will post pictures to describe what was happening.
