Don't think its electric now in any way, when I turn the wipers on I can hear the motor working at the proper intervals, but the wipers don't move. I can move them by hand. Clearly something just snapped in there, I see pictures of the wiper transmission but I'm not fully understanding how that unit works. Any way that I can SEE the wiper motor without removing it, so I can try to find what broke. Will that plastic cover come out before removing the blower housing, etc.?

Could be the same thing that happened to me...

The linkage bar has a ball and socket, I guess moisture gets in, a bit of corrosion and then the movement gradually wears the socket until eventually it just pops out....

The bar will pop off at the other end to, so you can replace just this partm but I don't know if its sold separately. I used on off another car.
