Anyone know the sizes of the rear speakers in a Touring? (Diamater, depth, etc) Mine are shot and I am getting ready to upgrade, but I have yet to tear into the car.

They are 5.25" (5-1/4) Diameter. Depth is 4".Originally Posted by DaveCN

haha, i was just in there today.
5.25" stock, and a 6.5 will fit if you used the aftermarket speaker's grills
The tweeters are 1" with a 2 bolt flange.

Yep, low profile depth on the E34 speakers. Had to do infinity on mine cause the rest had such a fat ass.
I got in there today and pulled the offending speaker that has the distortion/blown sound to it.
Visually, it looks fine, no cracks or splits or tears, but it sounds like ass.
Its a JL Audio 5-1/4. Trying to find specs on it so I can figure out what may be good to use for a replacement set.
