well, RHD?? someone claimed to him in the U.K. so he does not like to sell it to right hand drive countries. BigKriss wanted to buy one, not sure if he did so now.

I can imagine that the one side might disturb on a RHD. Not sure thou.

I have it since some years installed and I am very happy with it, especially as no glueing or bolts are necessary, no more scratches on the wood console by slipping keys and mobile phone of my wife ;-)

I also liked the way it fitted and looked as you say.
But its no good as is - I hope he makes a Right-hand drive version.

not enough demand for RHD. Last year I asked him to start production again as his old tool for production was no longer usable. So he took the risk to order a new tool for LHD version cupholders which cost him >$1000 when I confirmed to him that at least 40 people would buy from him. With 40 sets he would be even.

Hmm, well I just ordered two for RHD, will have to see if he sends them... he doesn't make shipping ouside the US easy tho... bah!

Seriously, how do cup holders get better than this without being built in?

Defiantly the best for e32/e34 particularly if he made a RHD version.

contact him via the *bay message. But for Germany earlier this year he informed me the cost as following, so to Australia should be the same I assume:

    Hello Erich,
For reference; the total cost for shipping and handling for one cupholder is $17.75 when sent by USPS. The cost for two is $23.20. The added cost is for repacking into a different box, and having to take them to the Post Office, as opposed to having them picked up at our location.

    Thanks,
    Herb
    ---------------------------------
and that was the old price for the cupholder:

    Hello Erich,
Prices for shipping the parts to Germany are as follows:
    Cupholder Shipping
    1 set $29.95 + shipping $17.75
    2 sets " $23.20
    3 sets " $30.65

Product would be shipped the least expensive way which is USPS First
    Class International.
    --------------------
For RHD something extra is out of question I assume, he never will get back the cost for the tool for such a small qty.
Try the LHD ones and let us know.

That I am hoping to do. I have no need to be upset if they don't sit right in the RHD car. Can always lop off the RH holder or do something innovative with it... that is why I ddn't get them earlier. However at $20ea, I'm keen... will post back with pics of fitment, left hand leg clearance (if any) and so on. Thanks for the updates/info Erich!

Kris and I have these in RHD. One holder is useful for drinks only. The un-usable holder is just greaaat for mobile phones and IPods, as they sit in the dark cave under the climate control sliders, so you can see them light up.

Definately good for holding cups solidly though. No troubles.

Works in 5-speed manual and auto. Not sure about six speed manual in RHD, proly okay for LHD though.

I suspect that they won't work very well with M5 surrounds, so it probbaly isn't M5 compatible.
