Bentley on pages 120-8 shows them both having the same colours, (which you will already know).
Thinking it through, if you get it wrong, all that can happen is that it wont fire.
I dont know what year your car is, but I am picking early 90's as Bentley shows the cam angle sensor being replaced by knock sensors after about '91.

I've seen better, more understandable wiring diagrams.

Good luck! It looks like a nice tidy installation to me!

Default M50 cam vs crank connector?

Hey guys - i am about done my engine build but I am putting it together and realize the cam and crank sensors can plug into either the cam or crank sensor harness, so like, I can mix them up if I do it wrong. I can check it for continuity to determine which is which but it'd be easier if there was some other way of knowing.

    Any helps?

one usually faces one direction and the other is reversed, but with everything fresh or been apart for a long time on your motor id just check it with a meter, or toss a coin, if it don't start swap em
