The Michelin Pilot Exhaultos on Lori's car has now travelled 53000 miles with at least a 1/4 of the tread left. Not to mention they are still as quiet as the day they put 'em on. I don't see how you could go wrong with these tires. I know what I'm buying again when the time comes.

No, actually the 525i came with 205/65x15 and the 535i/530/540i came with 225/60. You could guess the cheaper car came with the cheaper tire, or maybe BMW did it for fuel economy figuring lowly 525i owners wouldn't care about losing handling and cornering capability. I always upgraded the 525i to the 535i size and even BMW did it on the wagons, I suppose that may have something to do with load rating.

    WOW thats awesome!

I have a feeling that Im getting the exaltos for sure!

I had a question for the board....

as far as the psi goes in the tires....do you guys tend to keep it at factory specs or raise the psi by a few to help on the mpg?

Depends on what the sticker says. Later cars list only full-load pressures as a cover-your-ass for the manufacturer. You have to look for the European specs to find what it should be with less than four passengers and their luggage.

Default Ive had BF kdw t/a's

For about 45k (235/45/17) and they have been great. Noise? I never seemed to listen! Still have another year in them for sure but have to rotate cuz of rear camber. I think you'll be fine with any MAJOR name brand but listen to the board--its hard not to like Michelin and Bridgestone too.
