    Really can't say what model years it would fit. It has a production date of 3/93, but we tried it on a 92 model year 525 and it didn't fit, nor does it fit my 3/90 production m5 (i'm currently using a 370mm e30 version of the m tech 2).
    Hey Mike, I think I found the adapter that we need. It's the Momo 2008 hub adapter for me, and I think that you need the 2006 adapter. Not sure if that will solve the spline problem, but my guess is that it would. It will certainly solve the problem of the short shaft.

    thanks David, could you let me know if this works for you. from some additional research, it looks like there is a fine spline column and a corse spline column, for early cars. Eh, better than having the short shaft problem though...
