Side Skirts/ body kit

I may buy another car to swap the body kit to mine a 93 Uk spec, the donor car is a 91 with (apparently) genuine AC Schnitzer kit.

The front and back bumpers obiously incorporate the body kit in the moulding, but I just wondered how the side skirts are fitted, and any tips on removal/refitting.

Want to know how to remove the sideskirts from my '89 525i, going to put the kit on my '88 535

Heard stories that its fitted with double sided tape and stuff, but want to be 100% sure.

Well it must be very strong tape!

I went to look at the car: theside skirts are very firmly attached and there are no signs of any fixings screws or clips. I was a bit concerned about breaking them if removing with brute force (although I don't have a huge amount of this); consequently I didn't buy the car...
