retro fitting cruise control
Got most of the parts now, just a matter of fitting them.
I could do with some help, I need a picture of where the cruise actuator if fixed in the engine bay on a 530 v8 e34.
Can someone do me a favour and take a photo of the engine bay showing the actuator ant route of the cruise cable please.

I took some more pictures for you but I am not sure how useful they will be. Due to the position of the cruise control actuator it is very difficult to take pictures that show what you need to see. These pictures show the top of the cruise actuator and how it is mounted. You may find that working from below works for you as the brake booster wont be in the way.

Let us know how you come out.
I need to replace my actuator, but getting to the thing has proven to be a challenge - I tried to access it by removing the headlight assembly, but still had trouble getting to the mount, especially with the ASC unit on the same bracket. I don't know if I want to move the booster and master cylinder.
So far I have fitted the cruise stalk, and steering colum cowling(from Ebay)
At the same time I got the actuator, Have ordered a 2nd hand control module also from Ebay but this time the USA, not arrived yet.
Got the clutch switch and bowden F cable from a local BMW main dealer.
Got the wrong one the first time.
Could do with a picture of the cruise cable route though.
Anyone.
As you say no brake booster. still not a lot of room.

The route of the cruise control cable is fairly simple. It runs from the side of the crusie actuator at an angle towards the engine. It is directed upwards, snapping into a plastic cable holder that may or may not be attatched to your engine, going through the cut out in the engine cover. The cable then bends around over the intake manifold and into the throttle plate next to the throttle cable.
If you look at my website, I have directions for replacing all of the cables. The last picture on the Cruise Control page give you a pretty good idea of how the cable is run. I'll take another picture for you if you need me too.
