Has anyone ever "7-ized" a fiver?

How exactly does one go about making an E32 rear seat to fit an E34. I have a 535i with natur interior that is in decent shape, but the driver's seat is torn and the front seat heating is no longer operable. There is an E32 with a very nice interior that I could get at a good price locally, its a 735i. My car currently has headrests to the E32 headrests look promising, but what modification would I have to do to make everything fit?

What I have read on the German E34 forum: the single rear seat of the E32 fits, but it is difficult to close the doors, unless you remove some of the upholstery stuff on the edges where the door panel touches. The E32 seats are wider in the rear.
Then the E32 has 2 different kind of headrests:
older version it is mounted onto the rear seat back, while in newer versions the plate with the headrest system is mounted onto the steel between passenger room and trunk.
So first of all get the VIN of that 735 you want to remove the parts, use realoem.com and compare the parts and see what is installed.

Wire looms might not be there, so get that also out of the 735, the more the better. You will be surpised how many wire looms are inside a 750 for example, have a look here when I disassembled my parts 750iL

Would like to know how the lumbar support (it's electrically adjustable, right?) is added and if it can be done to E34 sport seats.

Brett Anderson at Koala Motorsporst. I don't remember if it was from a E31 or E32. He's located just east of Cleveland, OH. I saw an E34 sedan w/ a V12 at his shop a few weeks ago. He's also created a few ///M7's as well.

There have been lots posted up about esoteric features from the seven series.
Has anyone given a 5 the full set of 7 goodies? Most of it would work.

What I want to know is;

Is it possible to retrofit the e32's detachable bootlid hinges to the e34?

Now that would be useful mod (when will I need to remove the bootlid... ?

Also, would need to add a detachable harness connector. I wonder how this is done on the e32... BMW+connector+user frieindly does not go together in my mind though!

Cool, got 2 different how to's on the lumber retrofit there. But no part #'s for the switch, wiring harness, etc.

Anybody got any idea where I can find those?
