found the article. Looks as if it is for earlier radios.
Does anyone happen to have access to the August 07 Roundel article on how to ipod an e30 existing radio? I just do not have access to the Roundel. If not digital, be glad to pay postage for a photocopy. Even so not sure it would even work with my 95 e34 with an OE BMW Alpine 5 headunit. That said, it might even give me some insight in how to figure out what to do.

Which earlier radios?

I believe this applies to only 80s era radios with only a left and right channel. May apply to early e34 radios.
