A friend who's a petroleum engineer and whose company lab-tested motor oils once told me they considered Valvoline the best of the dino oils.

But, what about Valvoline synthetics? Anybody have any thoughts, insights, or suggestions about that?

Specifically, how does it compare to Mobil 1, the apparent industry standard?
