Default Pearls of wisdom from the owners manual

"If, when pressing the brake pedal, braking is poor, press your foot harder against the brake pedal" '99 Mitsu Mirage owners manual
"The gas pedal wouldn't go to the floor if it weren't meant to be there"

There was a Honda manual once that said to get out of a car, "park car, open door, step out, lock door, close door."

Also reminds me of the commercial of the car surfing, and in fine print it said "Do not drive cars on the ocean." ... like wtf.... we were going to.

    yes!

to prevent carbon build up after idling or driving under 3500 rpm for an extended period of time, drive over 3500 rpm to blow out any soot build up.

    or something to that effect.

I did that only recently because the engine had felt a little iffy, coughing just a tad... and so revved high to 5-6000 rpms a couple of times, and problem solved. Yes indeed, I had been driving kind of tame lately.

Love that car. You also have to brake hard once in a while, says the manual too.
