    Default 1988 735iL

Me and my dad are thinking of buying one from a friend for $400. Needs work, seems to be in limp mode. The headliner is sagging in the rear and need a new battery, along with new tails and the front headlight lens are cracked.

Car does start with a jump from my trusty E34, but struggles to stay at idle RPM when cold.

Anyone have advice on M30 E32s?

struggling at idle might also be MAF trouble. i'd forget that piece of crap (nhf).

It could be as simple as a temp sensor. M30 lasts forever and is a piece of cake to work on. If you need a trans there is a near fresh ZF in our classifieds, clhorton is the seller.
E32 is a great car. Pretty much the same concerns as an E34 regarding repair.
    $400 is nothing.
Buy it and loose that silly grille.

hahah, my thoughts exactly. We're taking it next weekend, and if we cant get the baby to run. I'm taking the rear sunshade and parting out the car!
