Default Bremo Rotors: Vented or Solid

My order fell thru @ Auto Parts Warehouse - What a mess!! Anyway I found Bremo rotors locally and they have them both vented and solid. The solid is more. Any opinions?

Solid, you are just paying extra for the holes. Yes they will improve cooling but its not worth the money unless your car is on the track. And if its on the track I would suggest something that will not fade.

    Are you changing your calipers?

Is this for the front or rear? And, when they say vented do they mean cross drilled? Vented does not mean cross drilled. Have the parts store calrify what they mean. Remember the stock 6cyl/530 e34 rear brakes came with solid rear rotors. The 540/M5 rears are vented. All front e34 rotors are vented.

They are for the front. It looks like they both may be vented (Not cross drilled) Check out: www.partstrain.com and search for an 1989 BMW 525i w/ M20 engine. They have 2 Bremo front rotors. One @ $39.72 and the other @ $54.99.

I have regular Brembo rotors on the front of my car, they stop fine.

crossdrilled and or slotted rotors help a little in distance maybe but i like the sharper feel that they give, slotted tend to wear the pads a little more evenly across the surface
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it

Vented doesn't mean drilled or slotted, It refers to the edges.
