Well, I've finally decided to sell my beloved Granite Silver 1991 BMW 535i. If anyone's looking for a nice one, I've created a website with pics and info.

Looks real nice - why are you selling?

Gas will continue to go up I'm afraid. On the best of days, I get about 23-24 on the highway with my 535i. My 1997 V-6 Camry and my wife's 4 cyl. Accord get at least 30 mpg. Plus, I just don't drive it much anymore. Figured I might as well turn it into cash and invest it. If I do a good job, I can start building my funds for my next car.

SOB, everyone is selling these days. Gas at $100 per barrel does make you reconsider some things though.
Gas will go down soon enough.Originally Posted by ThoreauHD

I don't know. Historically, since OPEC formed, prices have steadily gone up. When they were separate goat herders, the pricing was competitive. The OPEC cartel changed that. So I will hypothesize that, unless the muslims convert to Christianity, or neutron bombs take out the middle east- whichever comes first- gas won't come down. OPEC started it, butfked in the head muslims are finishing it.

Man, Robert you and I have been on this board for about the same length of time - well over three years. Sad to hear you are selling. I know how you feel though. I never drive mine, I work from home so I rarely leave and when I do go out I need something I can haul some stuff in , Kiteboard gear, Kids and their friends. I just don't know if I could ever pull the trigger.

I'm asking $5,200 OBO. That's probably a bit more than book, but it's still in pretty great shape and has quite a few of the right parts including: M-Technik springs, Racing Dynamics sway bars, 17" x 8" style 5 wheels, Bruno's subframe rings, plus I recently went through the front end with new lower control arms, new 750i thrust bushings, and new sway bar links. It still rides pretty tight, even compared to the 1997 Camry I'm driving. On top of that, it's got a pretty decent sound system now, sheepskin seat covers, and both the stock and EAT engine chips. I'll probably think about advertising it local before long, but I felt better about a BMW person owning it. If someone around here buys it (western Kentucky), it'll probably end up looking like #%$@& in 6 months. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see.
