^^ From what I can comprehend, a taxi-meter goes in the slot. It's for a e34 taxi ... I like this piece ... might have to start a taxi firm with the e34 just to use it.

it's very cool if you want an easy cutout to put in those guages bmw forgot - like oil pressure, voltage, etc...if it was the right colour, i would bid on it.

Its an early (circa e28) ash tray and lighter. It is making me think how worthwhile it'd be to pull mine and 'improve it' with a new gauge set and the like... no taxi meters for Freida, she's angry enough as it is...
