I'm interested in the passenger one, just the leather skins.

@sam-son - would you want the passenger minus the leather? then you can re-cover it in some ultrasuede for your living room?

I took the fabric cover off an E36 seat a couple of days ago, so I will assume its much the same for the E34.

Remove the rear panel from the back rest. Remove the trims from each side of the seat base.

The leathers are attached around the outside and at the stitching. The outside edges are held with either barbs (which can be bent back to release the leather) or with round wire clamps (which can be cut with wire cutters to release the leather). The stitching will have a wire built into the underside. That wire will be clamped onto a corresponding wire that runs either through the seat padding or the seat frame. The clamps can be cut with wire cutters.

If you are careful the leather can then be lifted off the seat frame and padding.

There might be some variation in the E34 seat design, so you will have to examine it as you go.

Let me know how you go with it. Can you send a couple of extra photos of that chair before you pull it apart so I can make sure that it's worth going to the effort?

    Thank You!

are they heated/lumbar? The driver seat looks like an improvement over mine (leather torn in side bolster and heated/lumbar not working for unknown reason). Editing this once again, looks like you live about 3 1/2 hours away from me so might not work out. Unless you'd reconsider shipping

I got a few PMs about them and I've totally forgotten about myles asking for just the leathers shipped to Australia, but yes they're still available
