    Default Running both e34 and '68-'76 2002?

Anyone running both e34 or e28 and '68-'76 2002? Have a dilema. Two e34 525s, one a 5s, one '85 e28 535a and five 2002s that could become three. Owned the first 2002 in Raleigh, NC in '68. Had a dozen or more since. No 2002 running since '99. Also have suburban for towing, and Chev s10 for errands. No bragg, just poor judgement on accumulation and all were and are good vehicles.

Here's the problem. I'm 75 years old and busy with a lot of bad investments to say nothing of an endless list of honeydos. Plenty of space and facilities to work on cars but very little time.

Trying to get up interest in '02 restoration, but e28, the more modern incarnation of every thing that an '02 would have coveted along with plenty of headroom and glass, and the e34 525 5s, a surprisingly satisfying drive with cold air, sunroof, creature comforts, and a real mile gobbler on a trip, keep getting in the way of '02 restoration work.

Would appreciate advice from, decisions made by, others in similar situation. Is an '02 really good enough to get driving time in competition with a good e34 5s and or a nice e28 535a? The 525a is grandma's.

I have resisted asking the question for the last 7 hours but as no-one else has asked then I must: is the 525a YOUR grandma's?

525a belongs to Grandma of my grandchildren, pretty sharp car chick though.

We had a 76 2002, an 86 325, and a 95 E34 at the same time for about two years. Eventually, we knew we were going to move to a house that had no garage, so we decided to sell the 2002, which although partially restored, was going to need more work and the lack of a garage would have just killed the body (here in Indiana). We also ended up selling our 525 wagon because we wanted to get a more efficient car that had side airbags and could handle winter weather more reliably than the BMW. Between the 525 and 325, I like the 525 better, but an 86 325 is worth next to nothing, while we were able to get some value from the 525. If we had an E28(535is) instead of an E30, I would probably be even happier with our choice! But the E30 is the most reliable of the 3 BMWs we have owned, and it is still fun to drive.
