    That video you posted suggests you insert 4 metal pieces to simulate black highbeams. What are other methods for this? Translucent black spray over the chrome? Do they make that reflective black paint in spray paint form?

    That is it, and that is how the hellas do it. Anything else means you are impacting light output greatly by obscuring and reducing reflectivity of the headlight's reflector, or tinting the lens.

    IT is an optical illusion... by preventing you from seeing reflections in the chrome bucket from any position other than head on, they appear to be black. They would have a minimal effect on light output as the cross hairs do not impair light travelling straight out of the buckets from the central bulb position.



    oh and BTW

    It's needs a good wash still but...
    finished!!!








    ...for now! High beam crosshairs are up next so they will look black too

    nope. Got a plate holder since this stupid state requires front plates... I just have found no way to fit the plate to the holder!
