windshield washer switch in steering column inoperative

Hi, I noticed the spray function on the stalk was getting harder to operate and now it just refuses. I'm pretty sure it's the switch because neither the spray nor the extra 'swipes' of the blades come, whereas if the spraymotor was out I'd still get the swipes.

Now does anyone know what kind of switch is in there and if I need to replace it or it can just be cleaned?
