I have a used one for sale on Ebay.
It's from a 1990 535
The core charge is like a deposit for the return or your old unit, they plan to send it in for reman.
I was checking the price of the LKM on the BMA site. There was a price for "Core" $50.00, and another price of $184.00 can somebody explain this to me?

Probably the main difference between the faulty one you already have and a remanufactured one bought with a core exchange is that the clever guy selling the remanufactured unit took a ~$10 Radio Shack soldering pen and re-flowed the solder joints.
This took ~10 minutes to do, and another ~10 minutes to plug it into his car to see if it works correctly after the re-flow.

Ive tried this man! Am i missing something?
Still not working. Im getting around 9.9V at the yellow plug that connects to the headlite.
I'd trace the wires back with a meter and try to locate a break or corrosion.
LKM failures do to relay solder joints usually are like flickering, goes off with a bump in the road, etc.
