If I let the pump fill my tank until it clicks off, then I leak a lot of gas, fast. The leaking stops once it gets below 80 litres.
Now I have heard people talk about an overflow tank for the gas tank - is it possible that mine has gone bad, or that there is not seal in the connection, or something along those lines? Has anyone else had this problem?

Check for rust perforation on the fuel filler neck.
