If they have the same part numbers I'd say its a safe bet they'll fit: you could always get your tape measure out for the dimensions you are unsure of
Sorry about the double post.
Anyway...
I went to the junk yard on saturday. I was looking for a new front right shock and lower control arm because the shock is leaking and the lower control arm joint is completly shot.
I need to know if they wud fit from an e32 and a 88 325i. I found like 4 of them and they look identical but i dont know if the dust cap diameter is the same and if the length of the shock is the same.
I checked realoem and it looks like they have the same part #'s.
I have also heard that 1990's have different dust cap diameters. Mines a 5/90 525i if that helps

The lower control arms from an e30 325 cross to an e34? That can't be right... If that's the case, m3 arms for me!
Yeah i figured that I could just measure them.
What im more worried about though is the total length of the strut plus how far is actually compresses etc compared to e34 struts. Also the spring may be stiffer softer because a 735 is a heavier car (or so I wud figure). Of course I could just take the spring from my strut..hmmm...but anyway the length of the strut is what is really my concern.
