Default Converting E34/M50 to run on CNG/LNG

Anybody out there know if ANYONE has ever converted a petroleum powered vehicle to run on CNG/LNG?

Just wondering if it's possible. Been reading about the coming oil crisis-when oil hits $100-$200 barrel.

Very common conversion to be done in the UK - kit costs anywhere from $1600 to $5000

here everybody converts to LPG, and it's such a relief when you go to the station and fill up the tank for less than $30.....our gas prices our about $6 for a gallon.

But I'm thinking electric is going to take over in a decade.

I had a mercury that ran on propane early 90s. I have been tempted to convert my m20 to an alternative system but its a little expensive imho.

On a show called the myth busters they forced hydrogen directly into the carb and the car started and ran without any other modifications. Really surprised me. I still have faith in bmw's hydrogen developments.
