    Default O/T bmw M44 engine

    A friend of mine has a z3 1.9 m44 engine with a manual tranny...question is if he was going to replace the engine with an m50 2.5 would the manual tranny from the m44 bolt right up at the m50?

    get a clutch and flywheel for a 325, other then that it's a direct swap
