as the owner of the same car, it pains me to say that the buyer paid a fair price for it..

he can now spend $5000 and a couple months doing the steering, suspension, wheels, tires, gaskets, exhaust, etc, etc, etc (do i sound bitter?)

That's a steal if it was well maintained, however like Evan said.... if it wasn't then 2k was about what it's worth for the effort.

heads just came back from the machine shop looking nice and new...

i have the cams, chains, and lifters all laid out on my picnic table... i stored the lifters in a jug of motor oil

i have to clean the engine bay and find out which way the cams go on ( i separated the chains from the cams without marking them)

i also have to either solder and reinsulate two of the ping sensors or buy new ones...

all in all it's going well... i should post a pic

Geez! Only $2090?

Gas was $1.25 a gallon not that long ago. Now it is $2.75 a gallon. The 540 may have powere in every gear, fuel economy it is not.
