Default New CD43 Has Me Wanting More

Purchased the CD43 from the group buy thread. Works great ! Now I lust for a CD Changer. Understand it has to be a "I" bus (or something like that). What is the best Alpine CD changer that is compatible with the CD43? Good place, pricewise to buy it? This is for a 1989 535i so will need to run new cable from CD43 back to the new unit.

    TIA

    Jim

So you just use the built in single player in the CD43?

If i had that unit I'd be digitizing my CDs and hooking the Ipod adaptor up.I have the 6 disc changer and four six disc magazines and it is a royal pain carrying around CDs to keep things fresh but i probably drive a lot more.

I'm kicking myself for not getting in on that group buy.

You probably still can... email Jimmy, he's been real good about getting things out and has earned my trust.

Otherwise check ebay - there is a recent surge of cd43's in the past few months. For a while there were only 3-5 on at any given time and all of them used, but all of a sudden the floodgates opened up and new ones came on the market so you can probably get a new one for $300 all day long.

Don't forget that for $150 plus the cost of an ipod (say another 150), you can get the DICE interface for that headunit and skip the CDs.

Acutally mine was purchased after the group buy "officially" ended. Jimmy delivered the goods as promised and would not hesitate to do bussiness with him again. You may need the adapters that he sell also.

I will have to consider that. I'm kinda a old fart that is slow to adopt new technology, at least when it comes to music. After all the "newest" CD I own is from a vinyl record released before 1980 .
