Did the E38 shifter cover ever have 1-2-3-D-N-R-P? All i ever find have 2-3-4-D-N-R-P...

I assume the A/M mode switch on early E38s is the same as the one in the E32/E32?

I guess not..All e38 comes with 5speed...1-2-3-D-N_R_P is 4speed

yup...i want to do this mod also but I cant find for a e38 shifter console at the local yard.Don't want to buy brand new (too expensive!!!) For me doesn't matter if the shifter cover is inaccurate, we have the digital display in the CC display anyways.Up to you, but if I find one i'd go for it
