I have noticed that my rear suspension sits slightly higher on the drivers side as well.

Replace the strut mount on the left. You may discover a spring is sagging afterwards.
Who "tested" and quantified your shocks at 80%? Sounds like a bunch of hoo ha.

Hmm... shocks were tested by the local inspection station and they are really tough on these things. I'm going to check again now that I'm parked completely 100% level. The first time I noticed I was parked sloping extremely gently down to the left (say a 5cm drop over 2m).
The rear suspension is going to need an overhaul in the near future anyway and I'm not very worried, just curious if this happens often and what possible causes are.
Then again: a spring sagging by 1 cm after 300000kms of driving with mostly just the driver at the left side doesn't seem abnormal. I think I could do with tougher springs anyway because the extra weight of the LPG tank is probably not helping them much.

Looks like I cried wolf (insert blushing smiley here). On level ground there's hardly any difference. I guess I'm just becoming a little too concerned with her.
She's due to reach 300000 any day now and I know no-one personally who has a car that made it to that age except here, which makes me want to REALLY make sure she's OK.
